Bug bites and stings are a common occurrence during the summer months, and they can put a damper on our wellness and outdoor activities.
As the warm weather is upon us, people are regularly venturing outdoors to enjoy nature's beauty. However, with these sun-kissed days and fresh air that we are enjoying, also comes the buzzing and biting of bugs. What are bug bites and stings? Bug bites and stings are caused by a variety of insects and other small creatures such as mosquitoes, bees, wasps, ticks, spiders, and ants. When an insect bites you, it injects venom into your skin that can cause a variety of symptoms, including pain, itching, swelling, and redness. Stings on the other hand occur when an insect pierces your skin with its stinger and injects venom. Some of the most common bug bites and stings include:

- Stay away from areas where there are a lot of insects, such as stagnant water and overgrown vegetation
- Check your body for insects before going inside
