Its ability to restore the natural acid-alkaline equilibrium of both the skin and scalp makes it particularly valuable for those with pimples and acne-prone skin. However, it's important to note that apple cider vinegar, like other vinegar, possesses acidic properties primarily due to its main component, acetic acid. Additionally, it contains other acids, vitamins, mineral salts, and amino acids. When it comes to external beauty care, apple cider vinegar has been widely used to address numerous skin and hair issues. For instance, it can serve as an effective hair rinse, bringing back the hair's proper balance and imparting a healthy shine.

Apple cider vinegar is produced through the fermentation of apple cider using yeast and beneficial bacteria. During the fermentation process, acetic acid is formed in the vinegar, which is renowned for its antibacterial and antifungal qualities. The efficacy of apple cider vinegar is largely attributed to its natural fruit acids, including acetic acid and malic acid.

Here is how you can incorporate apple cider vinegar into your beauty routine:

ACV toner serves a crucial role in skincare by purifying and firming the skin, safeguarding it against bacteria and other contaminants. When used topically, apple cider vinegar acts as an astringent, effectively functioning as a toner.

To create an apple cider vinegar toner, follow these steps:

Combine 1 part apple cider vinegar with 2 parts purified water. After cleansing the face with a suitable face wash, apply the mixture to the skin using a cotton pad or ball. Alternatively, a spray bottle can evenly spritz the toner onto your skin.

If you have sensitive skin and are prone to reactions from skincare products, it is advisable to dilute the mixture further before application.

To eliminate dandruff

To combat dandruff with apple cider vinegar, follow these steps for effective results. Wash your hair three times a week using a gentle herbal shampoo, ensuring that you use a smaller amount of shampoo and rinse thoroughly with water. Thirty minutes before shampooing, apply two tablespoons of vinegar to your scalp and gently massage it. For stubborn dandruff that clings to the scalp, soak cotton wool in apple cider vinegar and delicately rub it onto the scalp to loosen the flakes

ACV spot treatment

When an unexpected blemish pops up, a spot treatment can be a lifesaver. To create your homemade apple cider vinegar spot treatment, take a cotton swab or cotton ball and lightly apply a small amount of apple cider vinegar directly onto the blemish.

Apple cider vinegar possesses strong antibacterial properties, making it effective in potentially stopping the development of those bothersome pimples before they fully emerge.

Deal with a lice infestation

When faced with a lice infestation and exploring home remedies, applying apple cider vinegar to the hair and scalp can be helpful. Start by generously applying the vinegar and allowing it to sit for an hour. This will loosen the nits (eggs), making them easier to remove. Use a fine lice comb to comb through the hair, ensuring the removal of any nits by hand.

Afterwards, wash the hair with a gentle herbal shampoo. As a final rinse, create a mixture of two tablespoons of vinegar and a mug of water. Pour this mixture over the hair, ensuring it reaches all areas. Once again, comb through the hair using the lice comb.

Achieve wart-free skin

Apple cider vinegar is believed to have wart-healing properties. While it is advisable to consult a dermatologist or opt for homoeopathic treatments for warts, if you prefer to try home remedies, you can apply vinegar directly to warts using cotton wool. This method is said to eventually lead to their removal. To treat warts, soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and secure it over the wart with a Band-Aid overnight. The skin may experience some swelling as it interacts with the solution; however, the wart will eventually fall off. Continuing the treatment for a few more days after the wart has fallen off is recommended to ensure it doesn't reappear.

Sunburn healing properties

Apple cider vinegar is widely recognized for its ability to alleviate sunburns by providing relief from pain and speeding up the healing process. Here's a simple method to use it effectively:

  1. Prepare a mixture by combining half a cup of apple cider vinegar with four cups of water

  2. Soak a washcloth in the solution and gently apply it to the affected sunburned skin

  3. Massage the solution into the skin for a few moments

  4. Repeat this process multiple times throughout the day for several days until noticeable improvement in your condition occurs

Apple cider vinegar, known for its antimicrobial and astringent properties, is not only a beneficial component of health food but also a favoured inclusion in various skincare products. When it comes to facial care, apple cider vinegar offers a multitude of applications, ranging from a homemade cleanser to an effective treatment for acne spots.
